John Mukuka, Seed Expert at ACTESA and responsible for the Comship project which aims to harmonise seed regulations in the COMESA region, presented his plans and progress at the AFSTA Congress in Dakar, Senegal in March 2017.
Mr. Mukuka explained that ACTESA is in close collaboration with the African Seed Access Index (TASAI) and Integrated Seed Sector Development Africa (ISSD Africa) developing a COMESA SEED INFORMATION SYSTEM (COMSIS) linked to indicators in Access to Seeds Index Report, 2016 and to be presented to the Ministers of Agriculture in 2017.
