Presentation Access to Seeds Index at National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in Bangkok

Bangkok: The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) held its 15th annual conference (NAC 2019) from 25 to 28, 2019.

On 26 March, APSA attended one of the event’s main forums, which was themed “World Class Agricultural Technology and Opportunity for Thai Seed Export Leader”

Held at the Thailand Science Park Convention Center, Thailand Science Park in the Khlong Luang district of Pathum Thani, the forum featured three special lectures as follows:

1. Dr. Coosje Hoogendoorn, Senior Research Lead at Access to Seed Index and Senior Advisor at Royal Tropical Institute, Netherlands, presented “The Dutch Seed Sector Diamond — an approach facilitating the synergy between the public sector, the private sector, civil society and research.”

2. Dr Sithichoke Tangphatsornruang, Director of Genome Technology Research Unit at National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, presented ‘Genome Technology for Agriculture and Thailand’s Private Sector’

3. Mr AJ Hsieh, Project Manager at Sanyi Sahasingha Seeds Co., Ltd, presented ‘Market Strategy for Seed Market in China’
