The Access to Seeds Index will consult farmers on the findings of the 2016 edition and gather their input for the 2018 edition.
In cooperation with local farmer cooperatives, these farmer consultations will among others be organized in DR Congo, Vietnam and Burkina Faso.
At 12-14 July Collectif Stratégies Alimentaires (CSA, member of AgriCord) organized a workshop in Goma on improving access to quality seeds for family farmers (“Améliorer l’accès des agriculteurs familiaux aux semences de qualité”). More information on the workshop can be found here (in French).
On 6 August AsiaDHRRA (Asian Partnership for the Development of Hurman Resources in Rural Asia) will organize farmer consultations in Hanoi, Vietnam. AsiaDHRRA is a regional partnership of eleven social development networks and organizations in eleven Asian nations.
