Coosje Hoogendoorn advises and supports the Access to Seeds Foundation on the research process of the indexes. She is seconded from KIT (Royal Tropical Institute), where she is a senior advisor on Integrated Seed Sector Development (ISSD). Trained at Wageningen University & Research as a plant breeder, she has worked for over 25 years in agricultural science leadership positions in developing and OECD countries as well as emerging economies, notably China. Coosje brings with her wide ranging experience and knowledge in the fields of agro-biodiversity and seed systems, natural resource management and agricultural value chains.
