The Access to Seeds Index is maintained by the Access to Seeds Foundation, an independent, not-for-profit organization based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The Access to Seeds Index is being developed in partnership with the following research partners.
Robust, active governance is critical to ensure the impartiality, independence and multi-stakeholder character of the Access to Seeds Foundation. The Foundation’s governance processes are guided by several documents that have been approved by the Supervisory Board.
The Annual Operational Plan and Budget 2018 include objectives, deliverables and budget for the full second Index Cycle (2017-2019). The Strategic and Operational Plan 2014-2016 describes the activities for the first Index Cycle. The Plan for 2012 and 2013 describes the conclusions of the feasibility study and development the first proof of concept of the Access to Seeds Index.
The Annual Reports contain an overview and explanation of the Access to Seeds Foundation’s financial figures for the accounting period ending 31 December of each year. Quarterly reports are published since Q2 2017 to report on progress following reporting guidelines by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands and in line with the IATI standard.
